Hi Parents of New Middle School Students,
Transitioning to Middle School can feel like a big deal to a 6th grader. We hold a middle school orientation for any incoming middle school students who are new to 6th, 7th, or 8th grade. This orientation includes games, tours, pizza and most important their middle school schedule. The kids learn to read their schedule and identify where their classes are so their first day is a breeze.

The orientation allows for kids to reconnect with friends or make new ones if they are new to our school. It also allows for kids to understand electives and their core classes. They get a chance to see who is in their classes and know that they will be around friendly faces.

We are excited to announce that we have a few new classes added to our middle school electives. We have added a Speech for Leaders class as well as a Culinary Community Service Class.

We are looking forward to some time with the students before school begins.

Parents often ask if they are invited and we encourage the parents to drop off their students for this event as it is planned for the students to support their middle school transition.

If you are out of town please do not worry, every middle school student picks up a new schedule on the first day of school and we have plenty of staff available to help them navigate their first day.
