At San Diego Cooperative Charter School (SDCCS), we are a tuition-free TK-8 charter school that is grounded in the understanding that effective education requires the involvement of our broader community. Our Co-op partnership model shares resources, inspires responsibility and improves student academic outcomes by working collaboratively. When it comes to learning, we are stronger together!
At SDCCS, students are the heart and soul of our school. Our teachers and staff take the time to get to know each pupil personally, honoring unique characteristics and abilities and creating pathways to meet each student’s needs. Our students thrive in a culture of caring, inspired to become empathetic and engaged learners. We create an environment where students are free to discover their interests, express themselves creatively, and find joy in learning. Our Constructivist Curriculum methods enable students to participate collaboratively in their own learning, and make connections between the curriculum and the outside world. We provide students with the academic, social and emotional tools to discover their own paths and become partners in their own success.

2. Partnering With Parents
San Diego Co-op parents are a valued part of our school community. We rely on parents to help out on campus as classroom volunteers, field trip chaperones, and more. They organize bake sales, social hours and book fairs, and participate in the leadership of our Parent Staff Association and School Board. We also partner together outside of school hours to support empathetic behavior, engage with schoolwork, and communicate with teachers on questions or concerns.
3.Partnering With Neighbors
The SDCCS campus is a welcoming space where everyone belongs – including friends and neighbors! Each year we host three annual Project Nights and invite the broader community to celebrate our students’ work, and we invite local food trucks to support the events. We partner with area businesses on service learning projects that engage Co-op students as volunteers both during and after school hours. We celebrate the International Day of Peace with an annual parade through Linda Vista, plant trees on Arbor Day, and visit local zoos, history centers and more on field trips for all ages.
At San Diego Cooperative Charter School, we partner together to put students first. Is your child ready to thrive? We’re enrolling for the ‘23-’24 school year – tuition-free. Contact us and learn more today!
